Foster care & adoption-related challenges
School & peer relationship struggles
Chronic illness & medical trauma
Emotional regulation & life transitions
Art therapy allows clients to explore their emotions and experiences in a way that feels natural, creative, and empowering.
What It’s Like to Work With Me:
Therapy with me is not about being "good" at art—it’s about using creativity as a tool for self-expression and healing. I integrate traditional talk therapy with art-based techniques, helping clients process emotions, reduce stress, and gain deeper insight into their experiences. Whether through painting, drawing, or mixed media, I provide prompts and materials that encourage exploration and self-discovery. My goal is to create a safe, open space where clients can express themselves freely—no judgment, just growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
I earned my Master’s degree in Art Therapy from IUPUI Indianapolis and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR). My professional background includes:
Psychotherapy in schools, supporting students with emotional and academic challenges
Art therapy in hospital settings, working with individuals coping with medical trauma
Clinical experience helping teens and young adults build emotional resilience
I incorporate a customized, client-centered approach, blending:
Art Therapy & Creative Expression to explore thoughts and emotions
Adventure Therapy sessions to explore nature, be outdoors, and process emotions.
Mindfulness & Adventure Therapy to promote self-awareness and stress relief
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Emotional Regulation Techniques to develop coping skills
Outside of Therapy:
I’m newly married and embracing this exciting new stage of life! In my free time, I love exploring coffee shops in Indianapolis, reading, traveling, and scrapbooking my adventures—big and small.
My Philosophy:
"You don’t need words to tell your story—sometimes, creativity speaks louder. Art therapy is about expression, healing, and discovering new ways to understand yourself.”
