What It’s Like to Work With Me:
I approach therapy with curiosity, creativity, and compassion, helping clients understand their emotions in ways that feel natural and accessible. For children, that may mean using play to help them express what words can’t capture. For teens and adults, it often involves exploring patterns, emotions, and beliefs to create new ways of coping and connecting.
I believe that small shifts lead to big changes—progress doesn’t always happen in one breakthrough moment, but in the quiet, steady work of healing. My role is to help clients feel heard, uncover their strengths, and build the confidence to move forward with clarity and purpose.
Therapeutic Approach:
I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help reframe thoughts and develop coping strategies
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for individuals struggling with OCD and anxiety-related disorders
Brainspotting to process trauma and unlock emotional healing
Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy to help children express themselves and build emotional resilience
Insight-Oriented Therapy to foster self-awareness and deeper personal understanding
As a Star Behavioral Health Provider, I also have specialized training in working with military members and their families.
Qualifications & Experience:
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Faith from Christian Theological Seminary and have experience working in clinical and academic settings. In addition to providing therapy, I have taught and trained beginning counseling students as an adjunct professor at Ivy Tech Community College. My passion extends beyond individual therapy—I strive to reduce mental health stigma and bring positive change to individuals, families, and communities.
Beyond the Therapy Room:
Outside of my work as a therapist, I am an avid pianist and enjoy accompanying groups and soloists throughout Central Indiana.
My Philosophy:
"Your life matters! Let therapy help take you from where you are to where you want to be."
