Dr. David Young is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in psychotherapy and psychological assessment. He earned his B.A. from Whittier College and completed his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Utah.

Dr. Young is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Purdue University Fort Wayne, where he dedicated many years to training graduate, undergraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral students. He has also authored two books on psychotherapy and previously worked in private practice.

His areas of expertise include individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as addressing relationship challenges, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, and substance use disorders. Dr. Young has significant experience working with college students and adolescents.

His therapeutic approach incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, communication-focused therapy, and family systems models. Psychological testing is available for treatment planning purposes.
