What It’s Like to Work With Me:
Therapy should be a place for insight, problem-solving, and meaningful change. I take a practical, research-based approach, helping clients understand their experiences, improve communication, and develop tools to move forward. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I focus on identifying patterns, strengthening relationships, and creating lasting solutions.

I integrate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Communication-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems Models, tailoring each approach to meet the unique needs of my clients. I also offer psychological assessment for treatment planning purposes.

Qualifications & Experience:
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in psychotherapy and psychological assessment. I earned my B.A. from Whittier College and my M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Utah. My background includes:

  • Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Purdue University Fort Wayne, where I trained graduate, undergraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral students

  • Author of two books on psychotherapy, contributing to the field’s understanding of effective therapeutic techniques

  • Private practice experience, working with a wide range of individuals, couples, and families

My Philosophy:
"Effective therapy is both an art and a science—it blends understanding, strategy, and action to help people build healthier lives and relationships.”
