My Philosophy:
"If we can experience emotional growth and insight within ourselves; it naturally follows that we can find emotional growth and insight within our relationships. This transformation can begin within the safety of therapy."
Qualifications & Training:
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University and have experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings. My background includes supporting clients through:
Maladaptive relational dynamics and conflict
Family conflict & co-parenting struggles, helping to improve communication and understanding
Grief, infertility, chronic illness & terminal illness addressing the emotional impact of long-term challenges
Anxiety, depression, & trauma recovery, integrating practical coping strategies
Postpartum Support International’s Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder program
I integrate a combination of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of each client, including:
Psychodynamic Therapy: Focusing on deepening insight and self-awareness of the past’s impact on presenting problem and develop more effective coping skills.
Family Systems: Focusing on presenting problems in the context of the family, as well as generational, social, and cultural factors influencing its members.
Structural Family Therapy: Focusing to understand family rules, patterns, boundaries and hierarchies to identify ways to improve interactions between family members.
Solution Focused Therapy: A strength-based approach focusing on solutions rather than problem solving; a future focused approach.
Mindfulness techniques: Promoting emotion regulation, stress reduction, and increase awareness.

What It’s Like to Work With Me:
I believe in the therapeutic relationship and aim to create a warm, comfortable, safe, and compassionate environment for my clients. I admire the bravery it takes to engage in therapy in hopes of meaningful change. While my approach is eclectic, I am predominately informed by psychodynamic and family systems therapies. As a marriage and family therapist (MFT) I work with many therapy types including couples, individuals, families, and adolescents. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs—whether it’s guiding couples through conflict, helping individuals and their families cope with medical diagnosis and treatment; parents and children improve communication, or offering support during times of uncertainty and transition. I strive to provide a grounded, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and move toward greater self-awareness and emotional well-being.
