Ages & Typical Clients: Adolescents (14+), Adults

Specialty Areas:
I specialize in working with individuals facing:

  • Trauma, anxiety, & depression

  • Intellectual & developmental disabilities

  • Severe mental illness

  • Autism spectrum support

  • Emotional regulation & coping skills

  • Self-awareness & personal insight

I am passionate about creating a space where individuals feel understood, empowered, and supported in their journey toward healing and self-discovery.

What It’s Like to Work With Me:
Therapy with me is a collaborative and individualized experience. I believe healing happens when we explore both the mind and body, so I integrate somatic practices alongside traditional talk therapy to help clients process emotions in a holistic way. My approach is compassionate, direct, and focused on real change, whether that means processing trauma, building coping strategies, or increasing self-understanding. I also facilitate support groups, including an autism support group, where individuals can find community and connection.

Qualifications & Experience:
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, and have extensive experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing severe mental health challenges. My professional background includes:

  • Working with the Stars Program, which provides specialized services for individuals with disabilities and severe mental illness

  • Leading support groups, including autism-focused groups, to foster connection and social growth

  • Providing individual therapy for adolescents and adults, addressing trauma, anxiety, and emotional regulation

I integrate a person-centered and evidence-based approach, incorporating:

  • Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy (MERIT) to deepen self-awareness and emotional understanding

  • Psychodynamic Therapy to explore patterns and emotional roots

  • Somatic Practices to connect body awareness with emotional healing

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thought patterns

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to improve emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness

  • Mindfulness-Based Techniques to create balance and resilience

My Philosophy:
"You are not a problem to be solved. You are a person to be understood. In therapy, we create space for healing, growth, and the possibility of something better."
