What It’s Like to Work With Me:
Therapy is a space to reflect, grow, and find direction. With experience, insight, and a strengths-based approach, I help clients uncover their resilience, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Whether you are stepping into a new phase of life, rebuilding after loss, or searching for a deeper sense of self, I guide with both wisdom and practicality.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support emotional healing, mindset shifts, and personal growth.

Qualifications & Experience:
I hold a Master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of Northern Iowa and continued coursework at IUPUI specializing in mental health counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indianaand a Gallup® Certified Strengths Coach with over 20 years of experience in mental health, education, and leadership roles. My background includes:

  • Therapist, teacher, school counselor, and university counseling director

  • Specialized experience in strengths coaching to help individuals optimize their personal and professional lives

  • Certification in Grief and Joy Restoration Coaching from the Professional Christian Coaching and Counseling Academy

Beyond the Therapy Room:
I volunteer with Indiana Canine Assistance Network (iCAN) and often have a service dog in training with me at work, bringing an additional layer of support to my sessions.

My Philosophy:
"Wisdom is not just gained through experience—it’s the ability to see possibility where others see limitation. Healing begins when we embrace our strengths and trust in what’s ahead."
